Local Expertise, Global Reach. Sherry and Rob have been Whistler residents, elite level sports enthusiasts and business entrepreneurs since the '80's. As strong threads in the fabric of the Whistler community, they have woven their colorful stories up and down the Sea to Sky corridor. As the Boyd Team, they link together the aspirations of families and individuals around the world, with total passion.
Sherry Newstead ventured to Whistler in 1991 to explore this new sport called snowboarding, which would soon be taking her to heights never imagined! Here, she spread her wings with successes in both sports and the businesses she started! Always a go-getter, Sherry’s fun-loving yet tenacious approach to get to the heart of an issue, on or off the mountain, is just one of her natural assets. Her innovative outlook to life and financial management, ensures everything balances out.
Rob Boyd has called Whistler ‘home’ since 1982 and still explores the area with the zeal of a true mountain lover. With a 12-year World Cup Ski racing career under his belt, victories were no accident - goal setting and adaptation of plans were keys to his successes then, as they are now. He built his home here, married his love and witnessed the once remote ski town grow and flourish into the vibrant, year-round adventure sports community that it is today.
Sherry and Rob, teammates in life and in the creation of the 'Boyd Team', compliment each other as Yin and Yang. Together they've brought up two active boys who also embody the Whistler life, where the community, sports and the mountains are the greatest teachers.
